Everton look a completely different prospect this season under Marco Silva, and the Portuguese boss has propelled the club to eighth in the Premier League table with the help of a raft of summer signings.
The Everton board backed their new boss with big money in the summer, and he was able to bring Richarlison with him from Watford in a deal that could rise to £50m. Silva also signed Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne on permanent deals from Barcelona, Bernard from Shakhtar Donetsk and Kurt Zouma and Andre Gomes on loan from Chelsea and Barca respectively.
However, the Toffees have ambitions to break into the top six, and securing a big-name striker could be the final piece in the puzzle that they need to achieve this. In fact, a move to re-sign Romelu Lukaku could provide them with their ideal front man.

The big Belgian joined Manchester United from the Merseyside club in the summer of 2017, but he has struggled under Jose Mourinho this season at Old Trafford.
This may all change now that ‘the special one’ has been sacked, but Everton should still test their luck to bring Lukaku back to Goodison Park.
During his four year spell with the Toffees (including his first year while on loan from Chelsea) Lukaku scored 87 goals in 166 games throughout all competitions, and bringing him back could allow them to challenge for the top six this season if he re-finds his form.
So, Everton fans, would you like to see a move made for Lukaku in January? Have your say by voting in the poll below.
