According to Mundo Deportivo, Everton have been offered the chance to sign Barcelona attacker Arda Turan during the January transfer window.
Turan scored 13 times in all competitions for Barcelona last season, but has not played a single minute of first-team football for the Spanish giants during the 2017-18 campaign.
It is understood that Turan’s agent has approached Everton to make the Merseyside outfit aware of the 30-year-old’s situation at Camp Nou.
Everton fans were asked for their thoughts on the possible deal, and a large number welcomed the news as they want more quality in the final third of the field.
Sam Allardyce has improved the Toffees since arriving, but the team are lacking quality in a number of key areas, and Turan would bring a winning mentality to Goodison Park.
A lot of things would have to fall into place for Turan, who is valued at £10.8m by transfermarkt.co.uk, to move to Everton this month, but the club’s supporters are very interested in a deal taking place.
