Many Crystal Palace fans on Twitter have been giving their opinions on a rumour involving their legendary centre-back Scott Dann and Premier League rivals Newcastle United.
According the printed version of The Sun (5 June, page 52) – via HITC – the Magpies want to sign the 32-year-old and they can do so for just £6m in the summer transfer window.
And members of the Selhurst Park faithful on Twitter were clear in what they want to see happen amid the report, with the sale of the 6 ft 1 defensive powerhouse advocated by a handful of fans.
One stated their desire to see the money taken and reinvested, whilst one expressed his love for the former club captain but proclaimed it’s his time to go. Another called the price “fair.”
Dann, a former England under-21 international, has spent five years in south London having arrived from Blackburn Rovers making almost 150 appearances and etching himself into the club’s history books.
