Leeds United are still in the hunt for Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn, according to the Yorkshire Post.
What’s the story?
The 22-year-old shot-stopper spent last season on loan at Norwich City and started every Championship game for the Canaries.
The youngster is unlikely to feature for Manchester City with Ederson and Claudio Bravo ahead of him in the pecking order, so a loan move looks likely again.
A solid option for Leeds
Gunn has already shown he can perform well at Championship level, keeping 15 clean sheets during an impressive spell at Norwich City last season.
Leeds’ goalkeeper situation is up in the air, with young goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell wanted by Wolves, and senior ‘keepers Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan failing to impress for the Whites last season.
Gunn would be a short-term fix to the problem but if Leeds can’t identify any other suitable targets for their no.1 spot then he would be a solid option for next season.
