Arhtur Booth, who played four times for Lancashire in 1950 and 1951, has died at the age of 78.Booth still holds the Minor Counties batting record, scoring 253 for Lancashire’s 2nd XI against Lincolnshire at Grimsby in 1950. His best first-class score was 49 against Hampshire at Liverpool in his final appearance.After being released by Lancashire he had spells as a professional with Dukinfield and Haslingden.
